Post from your desktop

Just like ecto or Marsedit, Blogo allows you to post on your blog straight from your desktop.

To attract serious bloggers, Blogo has gone for a slim designed interface aimed to combine simplicity with functionality.

The application is divided into two sections "Edit" and "Create". You can search and view posts from a side window that slides open. Overall, it's simple to work with however everything does feel a little over-designed, so the first time you use it you might feel a little confused.

For one, it doesn't look like your typical Apple program.

Blogo works with all the major blog services including WordPress, Blogger, Typo or TypePad.

Although fairly easy to set up, Blogo does encounter some issues when connecting to your account. However we appreciated being able to save multiple accounts and quickly switch between them.

If you aren't signed up to any blog service yet, Blogo will show a comparison chart of each service with links to quickly sign up.

Once you've written up a post and added links you can edit it before sending it to your blog.

We quite liked having a preview window, which really lets you see what the post will look like before actually publishing it. Posting images and html snippets is also really easy.

Just drag and drop them into the interface.

Although the interface can seem a little off-putting at first, Blogo is a good attempt at a desktop blog editor.

Softonic

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
